In Fall of 2015, Eric Pavri, Immigration Attorney, became the Director of Family Immigration Services (FIS). With an Immigration Attorney on staff and two staff members with Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) Accreditation, FIS is now able to take on legal residency cases that previously had to be referred to other agencies. For example, FIS can now assist immigrant crime victims who have provided significant assistance to local law enforcement agencies in investigating violent crimes, help aban…
Each day, Catholic Charities relies on over 70 volunteers to ensure our programs and services run smoothly. In Fiscal Year 2014/15, volunteers donated 92,509 hours of their time, valued at $2,375,631.

Sarah came to Catholic Charities after becoming homeless. She had fled a domestic violence situation, and ran out of funds before she could find a job and become settled. When Sarah heard she could take classes in computer skills, she jumped at the chance. There she met Sherry, the Life Skills Instructor, who worked with her to set goals and…

We Are Catholic.
Because we are Catholic, we have a responsibility to be Christ-like to others. Throughout the Gospel, God calls us to serve His people, and we take our calling seriously. “For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me...whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:35-36; 40
