Catholic Charities is working to end poverty
in the Diocese of Colorado Springs.
How Can You Get Involved?

  • Pray for the Poor: We believe in the power of prayer. Pray for our work by joining the Catholic Charities St. Anthony of Padua Prayer Society. Join here. You can also attend a prayer service at the Marian House at 7:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of the month or at 2 p.m. on the 4th Thursday of the month. We also have an annual Mass each year celebrated by Bishop Sheridan.
  • Volunteer: Catholic Charities could not serve the poor and vulnerable without the many volunteers who donate generously of their time and talent throughout our programs. Last year volunteers donated over 96,000 volunteer hours valued at over $2.5 million. Thank you! Learn about Volunteer opportunities here.
  • Advocate: Learn about the issues affecting those less fortunate. Visit Get Informed to learn about causes that impact the services we provide or to schedule a Touch the Need tour.

“This new World Day, therefore, should become a powerful appeal to our consciences as believers, allowing us to grow in the conviction that sharing with the poor enables us to understand the deepest truth of the Gospel… The poor are not a problem, they are a resource from which to draw as we strive to accept and practice in our lives the essence of the Gospel.”“This new World Day, therefore, should become a powerful appeal to our consciences as believers, allowing us to grow in the conviction that sharing with the poor enables us to understand the deepest truth of the Gospel… The poor are not a problem, they are a resource from which to draw as we strive to accept and practice in our lives the essence of the Gospel.” – Pope Francis
