Did you know?

The state of Colorado allows you to take a 25% tax credit on your state income taxes when you make a donation to the Marian House Soup Kitchen, Marian House Client Services, Marian House Community Outreach.

All donations to Catholic Charities are tax-deductible, but these particular programs qualify for added benefits to the donor on their Colorado state income taxes.

Note: situations vary; please consult your tax adviser.

* Federal tax deduction is lowered because of the add-back effect of reduced state tax

How to Donate

Donations of $250 or more to three Marian House Programs (Soup Kitchen, Community Outreach, Client Services) qualify for the El Paso County Enterprise Zone 25% state income tax credit.  In-kind and stock donations valued at $250 or more qualify for a 12.5% state income tax credit (please call 719-866-6440 for instructions).  If you wish to take advantage of this tax credit, please follow the directions below.


  • Make your check payable to El Paso County Enterprise Zone. Credit cards are not accepted for this tax credit.
  • Reference the Marian House program name on the memo line of your check
  • If you haven’t done so in the past, please include either the last four digits of the primary tax payer’s social security number, or your Colorado Account Number with your donation.
  • Mail your check to: Catholic Charities, 228 N Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903 (credit cards are not accepted for this tax credit)
