Sponsor-A-Day at the Marian House! http://www.ccharitiescc.org/marian-house/sponsor-a-day-at-the-marian-house/ http://www.ccharitiescc.org/marian-house/sponsor-a-day-at-the-marian-house/#comments Sun, 04 Jan 2015 20:00:59 +0000 http://www.ccharitiescc.org/?p=4898 warm 600 hearts full banner squareThank you to our Marian House Sponsor-A-Day participants!  Your sponsorship  covers the cost of all meals served on the sponsor day at the soup kitchen.

The Marian House Sponsor-A-Day Program (MSP) enables businesses, churches, schools, fraternal organizations, board of directors, groups, families, and individuals to sponsor the meals served at the Marian House Soup Kitchen for a specific day.  The day can be sponsored or designated in honor of an entity such as an individual, organization, business, etc., by pairing the sponsorship with a meaningful day or anniversary.

The benefits to Marian House are obvious:  generate revenue to cover meal cost, allowing for funds for occasional food shortages, and expansion of Marian House programs.

For sponsors, the program not only provides a very low cost per thousand (CPM), a desired marketing outcome in any advertising program, it also enables sponsors to be seen as a caring community supporter:  a business with a conscience.

A sponsorship costs $1,500 per day. Visit the Sponsor-A-Day page to learn more or to access the complete media proposal, click here: Sponsor-A-Day Proposal. For more information, call us at 719-866-6427.

Your Heart Warms Theirs http://www.ccharitiescc.org/marian-house/your-heart-warms-theirs/ http://www.ccharitiescc.org/marian-house/your-heart-warms-theirs/#comments Mon, 22 Dec 2014 20:05:53 +0000 http://www.ccharitiescc.org/?p=5128 warm hearts for web

Did you know…chances are, at least one person that you saw this week didn’t have enough money to eat dinner last night.

The fact is seventeen out of a hundred people in Colorado Springs are considered the working poor.  But chances are you will never know their faces.  They live in the shadows some too embarrassed or too proud to ask for help.  And while you may never know their faces the Marian House does.

When you donate a meal or volunteer you are helping bring their need into focus.  The Marian House provides over 600 meals a day, and that is just a small part of the services we provide.  And our clients are from every walk of life.  Because of you, the Marian House can serve these people in need.  And while every situation is different, bringing them out of the shadows and giving them that support is our mission.

We just wanted you to know…That when you give, Your heart warms theirs…

Catholic Charities and the Marian House.  Compassion and Hope.  365 days a year.

Help warm a heart today at HelpMarianHouse.org.

dark red logoThe Empty Stocking Fund (ESF) has partnered with non-profits in the Pikes Peak Region for over 30 years to help community members in crisis and assist others in reaching self-sufficiency. The Marian House will be an ESF recipient for the 14th year in a row. Add Staff, Wells Fargo Bank, the Gazette, and the El Pomar Foundation cover all the adminstrative costs of the campagin, allowing 100% of every dollar donated to go directly to the services provided to people in need. Futhermore, every dollar donated to ESF grows up to 45.3 percent thanks to matching funds by the Bruni Foundation and the El Pomar Foundation.
This year’s campaign kicks off November 27 and runs through January 16. There are many ways to contribute to the Empty Stocking Fund and support our partners throughout the Pikes Peak Region. The quickest way is to make a contribution on fillanemptystocking.org. There are also many fun events and activities throughout the holiday season that support this community effort.

Look for more information and stories from each of the partner agencies in the Gazette newspaper throughout the campaign. To make a contribution, find out how to donate through upcoming events,  or learn more about ESF visit fillanemptystocking.org.

Operation Happy Holidays – Friday December 12 http://www.ccharitiescc.org/marian-house/operation-happy-holidays-friday-december-12/ http://www.ccharitiescc.org/marian-house/operation-happy-holidays-friday-december-12/#comments Wed, 17 Dec 2014 17:28:50 +0000 http://www.ccharitiescc.org/?p=5216 DSC04008 for webFor the fourth year in a row, the 1st Brigade Combat Team – 4th Infantry Division marched on the Marian House. The team carried backpacks full of cold weather clothes and accessories, non-perishable food, toys for children and many more necessities for local community members in need.

At 7 a.m. on Friday, December 12, the soldiers marched from Dochester Park arriving at the Marian House at 7: 30 a.m. to unload their donations. Over 1,200 soldiers from Fort Carson volunteered to march. It is estimated that over 1,000 community members were able to benefit from this donation. Thanks to the generosity and kind hearts of these soldiers, many of our neighbors in need will be able to enjoy a safe, warm, and cheerful holiday season. We also  extend our thanks to the Colorado Springs Police Department for allowing the soldiers to march downtown and providing necessary security. Thank you soldiers for your good works to our community and your service to our country.
