St Patrick’s Day Gala
2017 St. Patrick’s Day Gala – Record Year!
Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and attendants, the 16th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Gala raised $302,000 for the programs of Catholic Charities – an all-time fundraising record!
The evening began with friendly, competitive bidding in the Silent Auction followed by a gourmet Irish-themed meal with wine and champagne from Barefoot Wine & Bubbly and Cheers Liquor Mart. Special thanks to Rose & Oscar Valdez for donating the corkage fee! Entertainment featured cocktail music from the Colorado Springs Conservatory and a live painting experience by Devin Montagne, Montagne Ministries, who sold his work of art – twice – in the Live Auction. Following the exciting Live Auction, the paddle auction to support Catholic Charities programs closed with a gift of a 2006 Pahlmeyer Merlot for the final donor. This year’s program featured the story of the Hinojosas – a family that persevered out of homelessness with help from Catholic Charities. To close out the night, guests danced to the sounds of One More Shot.
Join us next year to celebrate Catholic Charities’ 50th Anniversary at the 17th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Gala on Saturday, March 17, 2018!
A Fun Way to Support Charity
The St.Patrick’s Day Gala is a wonderful evening of celebrating old friends, the luck of the Irish, and supporting community members in need. Since it’s inception 15 years ago, the St. Patrick’s Day Gala has raised over $1.5 million to help feed those who are hungry, clothe those who are destitute, expand families through adoption, support families in need of pregnancy-related services and counseling, aid immigrants in attaining legal citizenship and integration in our community, and provide help and hope to anyone who seeks our assistance. Recently, we opened a Family Day Center to help families experiencing crisis and homelessness.
