The holiday season is here with sharing meals, gift-giving, enjoying the warmth of family and friends, and celebrating our blessings. But for many families in our community, times are tough, and hope seems hard to find. At Catholic Charities, families know they can find help and hope thanks to you.
Today, it is particularly hard for families who are struggling. With the lack of affordable housing, inflation, and the high cost of groceries and child care, there is not enough income to meet obligations. Many families first come seeking emergency services such as food, diapers, formula, bus passes, etc. While many of these needs are met through generous gifts like yours, the deeper work of investing in family stability and success is through case management and connection.
This is truly where the life-changing work happens. Through case management, doors open to additional resources, such as education, transportation, or housing support, to help families on their journey to success. Your support allows our staff to do more, meeting regularly with families to identify areas where they are ready to make changes. Together, we create a plan to achieve progress and stability.
Because of you, families can prevent homelessness,
regain self-sufficiency, and find hope.
By caring for the whole family, rather than simply addressing an immediate need, we work to ensure that the people we serve depend less and less on services provided at Catholic Charities and other agencies. With your support, families can find a path forward and find joy this holiday season.
