Like so many, Catholic Charities of Central Colorado was deeply saddened and disturbed by the recent revelations of abuse by priests in Pennsylvania. As an organization that works with some of the most vulnerable populations, we are committed to ensuring those we serve are protected and treated with dignity and care.
While we recognize the importance of healing during these trying times, our focus remains unchanged. One hundred percent of your donations go to support the work we do in our 10 county service area in Central Colorado. To learn more about our work, please visit our Get Help and Give Hope sections of this website.
For your information, we are providing some recent communications from leaders of the Catholic Church – locally, nationally, and internationally – who have responded with words of support for the victims.
If any individual knows or suspects child abuse or neglect by anyone acting on behalf of the Diocese of Colorado Springs or on behalf of the Catholic parishes and Catholic schools within the Diocese, the Diocese urges them to immediately report the matter to law enforcement or to the Colorado Child Abuse Reporting Hotline at 844-CO-4-KIDS, and to also notify the Diocese of Colorado Springs Office of Child and Youth Protection at 719-636-2345.
