Donations to the Colorado Homeless Contribution Tax Credit qualify for this 25% state income tax credit.
What does that mean for you?
By donating to an approved HCTC program (see below), a large part of your donation comes back to you in various tax credits and deductions. Donations to these specific programs qualify for a 25% tax credit on your Colorado state income taxes. Excess tax credits may be carried forward for up to 5 years.
Donations to these Catholic Charities programs qualify: Marian House Kitchen and Marketplace food pantry, Hanifen Employment Center, Marian House Client Services, Family Connections, Castle Rock programs, and Hunt Family Housing.
The Details
All donations to Catholic Charities are tax-deductible, but certain programs qualify for added benefits to the donor on their Colorado state income taxes.
Any donation amount qualifies for this tax credit. Excess tax credits may be carried forward for up to 5 years. Note: situations vary; please consult your tax adviser.

According to Colorado state regulations, taxpayers claiming a Colorado Homeless Contribution Tax Credit on their return must file electronically unless they are unable to do so.
