Adult Services

Case Management

Accompaniment is our hallmark. We walk with clients in their suffering and in their healing.

Navigation

Our Marian House Navigation Team assists clients find the service they need as quickly as possible through Catholic Charities programs, on-site partners, or referrals.

Legal Assistance

We provide access to legal services and advice by appointment only when the volunteer attorney is available.

Mail Service

Clients who are working in case management with Catholic Charities can register to use the Marian House – 14 W Bijou – as a permanent mailing address. An ID is required to sign up.

Mail pick-up is M – F, 9 – 10 a.m.

Identification

Clients needing new IDs are referred to Colorado Legal Services.

Shelter Referrals

Emergency & temporary shelter referrals, transitional housing, and long-term housing referrals are made to local partners.

 

Case Management – A guide through difficult times
Our case managers work one-on-one with clients to create stability plans, connect them to resources, and coordinate care across programs.

Q: What is case management?
A: Case management is the method we use to support healing and change. The case management process involves:

  • Active listening to identify strengths and motivations;
  • Assessment of areas of need, strengths, and readiness for change;
  • Client-led goal setting; Identifying internal and external resources needed; and
  • Following up with the client on their use of resources and progress toward goals.

Q: Who can receive case management?
A: Individuals or families facing crisis, homelessness, or major barriers to stability.

Q: How long does case management last?
A: Duration depends on the client’s needs and progress. Some cases are short-term, while others may continue for months.

Q: Is there a cost?
A: Case management is typically free of charge.

Q: How do I start?

Our Navigation Team helps individuals and families navigate immediate needs by connecting them with community resources, Catholic Charities programs, and partner services that support long-term stability.

Q:  What kinds of help can Navigators connect me with?

A:  Navigators may help connect clients with:

  • Housing and shelter referrals
  • Food resources
  • Identification assistance
  • Mail services
  • Employment resources
  • Mental health and medical partners
  • Legal assistance referrals
  • Rent and utility resources
  • Case management services

Q: Do I need an appointment to meet with a Navigator?
A: Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins may be available depending on capacity and wait times.

Q: Where are Navigation services offered?
A. Navigation services are available at the Marian House Campus in downtown Colorado Springs, Family Connections at the Helen Hunt Campus, and our Castle Rock office.

Q; Is there a cost for Navigation services?
A. No. Navigation services are provided free of charge.

Q; Can a Navigator help if I am experiencing homelessness?
A. Yes. Navigators can help connect individuals and families with shelter referrals, housing resources, and other supportive services within Catholic Charities or other agencies where appropriate.

Q. What should I bring to my appointment?
A. If possible, bring:

  • A photo ID
  • Important documents related to your situation
  • Any notices, bills, or paperwork connected to the assistance you are seeking

Q. Do you provide financial assistance directly?
A. Navigators can help determine eligibility for available assistance programs and connect clients with appropriate resources or referrals.

Q. Is there a resource guide available?
A. Yes. A downloadable Marian House Services Guide is available in both English and Spanish on the Adult Services page under Navigation.
