Our Clothing Closets are an essential service for those we serve. A variety of free adult and children’s seasonal clothing is available year-round. The Adult Clothing Closet is located in Marian House Client Services at 14 W. Bijou and the Children’s Clothing Closet is located in Family Services at the Helen Hunt Campus located at 917 East Moreno Ave.
Life Skills & Career Development at 14 W. Bijou offers business casual clothing for job interviews as well as specialty items (when available), such as work boots and other industry specific gear.
Clothing is distributed to those that are actively working in Case Management within Client Services, Life Skills & Career Development, & Family Services. Clients must be willing to engage with a Case Manager, as they can connect those we serve to the resources that can lead to long-term stability. Without this connection, clients often miss out on making the necessary connections in the community and can be kept up-to-date with things change.
Other essential necessities such as hygiene products are in high demand as these items cannot be purchased through SNAP (the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – Food Stamps). When available, these items are given out in Client Services.
Maternity and children’s clothing, in addition to formula, diapers, baby food, etc., are distributed through Catholic Charities’ Family Services.
