Pathways to Healing: Counseling Services

Individual counseling can help people identify more effective strategies both to cope with difficult situations and to achieve their goals. It is active, personal, and focused on increasing the individual client’s self-understanding and adjustment.  It provides an opportunity to work one-on-one with a counselor for assistance and support to resolve an issue, recover from a troubling experience, explore thoughts and feelings, examine one’s beliefs and work toward making healthy changes.  By reaching your goals you can grow beyond a current crisis, the breakdown of a relationship, or negative patterns from the past, empowered to move forward with freedom in your life.

The integration of one’s faith journey in the healing process can be a powerful dimension in helping to overcome brokenness and promote restoration.  Faith-based counseling can assist those seeking to incorporate their prayer and spiritual life into the counseling process.

Having shared beliefs and values often can contribute to the level of trust and confidence a client has with a therapist.  Our approach for those desiring faith-based counseling is to walk with people who are hurting and seek to connect individuals and families with a deeper understanding and experience of God’s grace. As a faith-based counseling resource, we recognize God as the genuine source of wisdom that inspires and ultimately guides all interventions.
