During COVID, we were unable to gather with our friends and stakeholders. This event was conceived as a way to get together with our donors and talk, share information on the works of Catholic Charities and any new projects on the horizon, and to simply enjoy each other's company. It is also a time where donors can decide to support our work financially.
At the 2022 event, the Hunt Family Housing Capital Campaign was introduced to kick off fundraising efforts for the campaign. To learn more about the campaign, visit HuntFamilyHousing.org
Las Posadas is a traditional celebration symbolizing the search of Mary and Joseph for a place for Jesus to be born. Participants process from house to house, pretending to be Mary and Joseph. At each house, the “pilgrims” sing the traditional song asking for shelter. Each house refuses them until they are finally welcomed at the place of celebration.
