A: There are several resources in the county that might provide help:

• Colorado Emergency Rental Assistance – The Division of Housing (DOH) has emergency rental assistance funding for Coloradans who have fallen behind on their rent and meet income limits and other qualifying factors. Must have a demand or court date summons. Application windows and more information is available here: https://doh.colorado.gov/emergency-rental-assistance

Q: I’m worried I’m going to be evicted, I don’t know what to do.
A: It is extremely important that you read all documents provided to you by your landlord during the eviction process (i.e. notice, demand, eviction summons packet, etc.) and follow the directions within the paperwork. You may want to seek legal counsel during this process, and it is important that you do so as early as possible.

Two Single Fathers Find Stability For Their Families

Through a series of circumstances, both Michael and Micheal suddenly became single fathers.  Both struggled to find stability for their families, and both began their journey with Catholic Charities of Central Colorado.  Today, the families are stable, but still struggle with steady employment and paying all of their bills.  One of the biggest challenges has been affordable childcare and housing along with a lack of a support system.
