Lesson & Prayer Intention
This month, please pray for an increase in volunteers with compassionate hearts who will support the needs of others.
Matthew 20:1-16 is a parable inviting others to work in a vineyard. YOU ARE invited to spend time with the Spiritual Care Team in their vineyard at the Marian House during the weekday noon hour.
This parable teaches about God’s grace, generosity, and the value of humility. It reminds us that God’s love and reward are available to all who respond to His call.
Many of our homeless clients are experiencing a renewal in their faith through the friendship and encouragement of the Spiritual Care Team. You do not need to be specifically trained; you should just be present and share your time; the Holy Spirit will lead.
Empower us to extend our hands through spiritual guidance.
These are challenging days, and Catholic Charities need your prayerful support to be a source of clear moral vision and effective action. In the pursuit of peace and justice, we strive to be the compassion of Christ as we advocate for and minister to those in need.
We have just launched the Changing Lives campaign. Catholic Charities is facing a double challenge: a decline in donations and an overwhelming surge in demand for essential services. Pray for us to receive the support needed to continue serving all who come to our door.
Let Us Pray Together
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the opportunity to serve others. Help us to approach our work in this vineyard with humility and compassion, so that we may be a blessing to those we serve.
Help us to put the needs of others above our own, and to use our talents and abilities to bless those around us.
Holy Spirit, guide us as we volunteer our time and energy. Help us to be patient and kind, and to always seek to give more than we receive.
In Jesus’ name, we pray,
